I was born and raised in Wisconsin and spent most of my life there. In 2001, I moved to Minnesota where I’ve been able to use my bachelor’s degree in communication as a Community Relations Manager for Barnes and Noble and a book publicist (until my recent job change). In May 2008, I completed my MFA in Creative Writing at Hamline University in St. Paul. The novel I wrote for my master’s thesis, titled CHASERS, recently sold to Simon Pulse.
During the day, I’m an editor for Flux books. I like my job a lot. I get to work with some very cool authors.
I live in the Twin Cities, I’m a Gemini, I have a cat named Goober, and a wonderful boyfriend whom I shall refer to on this blog as MyGuyTM. I am generally happier than the photo to your right would suggest.
I read a lot. I don’t write nearly as often as I probably should but I get by.
This blog will chronicle my thoughts/fears/anxieties that accompany the road to seeing my book on a shelf somewhere. Be very afraid.
